Bling Events to host Global Property Road Show in New Delhi next month
Bling Events, the marketing and event management wing of International Real estate advisory firm, Square Yards wants to host its new edition of Global Property Road Show (GPRS) in the national capital, New Delhi next month.

Shedding its traditional image, the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) is set to give private builders a run for their money.
Known for its no-frills and boxy flats, the BDA has moved from affordable housing to premium projects, planning premium multi-storeyed twoand three-bedroom projects with high-end facilities and penthouses. Besides, it plans to construct a dozen ultra-deluxe villas close to these three projects to be sold at a premium.
In a first, a BDA project will boast of a clubhouse, tennis court, swimming pool, amphitheatre, gymnasium and shopping centres. Round-the-clock security and CCTV camera are the other high points. The BDA’s first luxury housing project is coming up at Valgerahalli, near RV College of Engineering on Mysuru Road.It promises amenities on a par with those of private builders. Its other high-end apart ments will come up at Ma lagala (Nagarbhavi) and Alur, near Tata Housing project, on Tumukuru road in two years. “The residential complex will have 415 twoand three-bedroom flats, each with a minimum carpet area of 1,000 sqft,” said NG Gowdaiah, in charge of the project.
With social housing on its mind, BDA has till now provided only basic amenities in its flats. The development agency, established in 1976, is targeting high-income groups for the first time.
“The prices of these properties will be higher than that of other BDA apartments which range between Rs 10 lakh and Rs 35 lakh,” Gowdaiah said. The first luxe project, to be completed by April, will have twoand three-bedroom flats priced around Rs 45-55 lakh, almost half the market price. As per plans, the flats will have granite flooring and teakwood doors and windows. The bathrooms and kitchens will be have ceramic tiles. The exteriors will have high-grade concrete precast blocks, besides internal roads with signages.
Home price appreciation to remain muted over next 6 months: Survey
As per a report by FICCI-Knight Frank India, the sale of residential real estate is in all probability likely to remain stable or improve in the next six months, with appreciation of price remaining muted. This news should cheer up the prospective home buyers and send them house-hunting.
Releasing the latest findings of the Real Estate Sentiment Index for April-June 2016, the consultant said: “After a lull that lasted six quarters, the future sentiment scores are strengthening and witnessing similar trend as during Q1 2016.”
This signals a robust optimism of stakeholders going forward as the real estate sector in India is going through an interesting phase, it added. Indian real estate market has managed to show positive tractions in the last six months and the projections look positive too.
“Office space absorption is going from strength to strength while the residential market that was reeling under tremendous pressure for the last three years has shown signs of recovery,” the report said. On residential market, Knight Frank India said that there is a considerable improvement in the sentiments for the residential sector.
“The number of respondents with a positive outlook for the sector has gone up substantially in Q2 2016, especially for the sales volume,” it said. More than 95 per cent of the respondents feel that the sales volume will either be at the same level or improve in the next six months.
Despite an expectation of a better sales scenario in the future, the stakeholders feel that the residential prices will remain muted.
“More than 60 per cent of the survey respondents feel that the residential price appreciation will remain the same or worsen by the end of the year.

Bhopal Smart City Project To Commence With Restoration Of Historical Buildings.
Sadar Manzil, 18th century palace will be restored under the Bhopal smart city project. Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) will spend Rs 2.19 crore around the project. The historical palace was the darbar for last Nawab Begum of Bhopal Sultan Jahan Begum and then in 1960 it had become the head quarters of the BMC.
In the first stage of development BMC will perform restoration for around Rs 2.19 crore. In later 2 years, BMC aims to invest around Rs 10 crore,” said BMC mayor Alok Sharma here on Tuesday. Bhopal is one among the first hundred cities of India to become a smart city under the PM’s ambitious Smart City Project. Major part of the funds to turn around this historical city in to a smart city would be provided by central government. These funds will be used to give this historical city a world class infrastructure which is expected to give boost to the housing projects in Bhopal’s outskirts
Heritage conservation and restoration in Bhopal is one of the main elements of Bhopal smart city plan. Adaptive restoration Jama Masjid and Chowk Bazaar area is also underway. State government and DFID funding for the project is pegged at around Rs 5 crore. Over 2 Lakh Houses Built Under The Housing Schemes Of Central Government in Last 2 years’
The minister of state for housing and urban development Mr. Rao Inderjit Singh told Lok Sabha on Wednesday that 2.24 lakh homes have already been constructed for urban poor under the new and old housing programmes during the last two years. JNNURM, RAY, PMAY-U are being implemented with purpose of providing low cost houses and related civic amenities to the urban poor including slum dwellers.
The minister said these houses have already been built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) launched in June last year as well as the earlier Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewable Mission (JNNURM) and Rajiv Awas Yojana (RAY) that are being continued. The central government is supporting housing schemes under RAY and JNNURM till March 2017.
Out of Total houses built for the benefit of urban poor over the past a couple of years, Tamil Nadu has produced 37,355 dwelling units accompanied by Maharashtra with 36,992, West Bengal with 22,620, Rajasthan with 21,197, Gujarat with 15,861, Uttar Pradesh with 13,836, Delhi with 12,500, Madhya Pradesh with 12,216, Karnataka with 7,663, Andhra Pradesh with 6,583 and Chhattisgarh with 6,532 houses.Within this period, Bihar built 5,171 homes, Jharkhand 4,028, Kerala 3,870, Punjab 2,809, Telangana 2,552, Odisha 2,274, Nagaland 1,866, Haryana 1,402, Jammu & Kashmir 1,203 and Assam 895.
Mr. Singh said that under PMAY (Urban), the federal government has approved construction of 8,54,386 houses for the advantage of Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) with an investment of Rs 52,066 crore in which central assistance of Rs 12,602 crore is going to be provided. Additionally, interest subsidy continues to be extended for construction /upgradation of 8,004 dwelling units under PMAY (Urban).
